Event Overview:
The event, organized by the IEEE Young Professionals Region 3 team, aimed to explore the technology trends of the next decade, addressing crucial advancements, challenges, and their implications. This day-long event included technical talks, professional development, mentorship, and networking sessions, to bring the IEEE Region 3 technical community closer. The day featured an enriching series of presentations covering a broad spectrum of topics ranging from the rapid evolution of generative AI to the future trends and innovations in robotics, concluding with a panel discussion on the societal impacts of an aging population—dubbed the ‘silver tsunami.’
The agenda was as follows:
10:00 -10:10 am – Welcome note by Binesh Kumar, R3 YP Chair
10:10-10:50 am: Keynote ( Young Professional Development in Emerging Technologies )
10:50 – 11:30 am: Tech talk 1 ( Clean energy technologies by Jakir )
11:30 – 12:40 pm: Mentoring Breakout Sessions + Lunch
12:40 -1:20 pm: Tech talk 2 ( Robotics by Shane T )
1:20- 2:00 pm: Tech talk 3 ( AI/ML by George B )
2:00 – 2:45 pm: Panel session
2:45-3:00 pm: Feedback session by Sunny
3 pm – 5:00 pm: Outdoor Networking event
These Topics were communicated to the mentors in advance and they decided based on their career trajectories to talk with the mentees as per the following classification-

Mr. George – Work-life balance and soft skills (c and d)
MM branding material was used for event publicity YP Career Goals Achieved:
The career goals of the Young Professionals in attendance were diverse, including advancing in their current job, exploring new career opportunities, building a robust professional network, pursuing further education, and venturing into entrepreneurship. The YP mantra of “moving the needle” was echoed throughout the event.

The event was registered in the mentoring portal and sample information collection forms i.e., mentee
outcome form and mentor feedback forms will be submitted after the event.
