The Event Overview:
“Empowering Future Innovators: IEEE Micro Mentoring” was a focused event designed to facilitate high impact mentorship experiences within a condensed timeframe. By connecting seasoned industry leaders and academics professors with students, early-career professionals, and young IEEE members, the event created an environment conducive to career growth, skill development, and global networking. The event featured one-on-one and small group mentorship sessions, enabling personalized interactions that cater to participants’ specific needs and aspirations.
The event Outcomes:
● Cultivation of a culture of mentorship within the IEEE.
● Empowerment of participants with practical insights and guidance from experience industry leaders.
● Establishment of lasting mentor-mentee relationships that extend beyond the event.
● A privilege to present themselves before eminent persons and an opportunity to turn them to career paths.
● An exclusive arena to build networks and expand their contacts.
The Event Mentors at each track:
The mentors were from the industry and academia to achieve the varieties of experience and to provide maximum benefits for the mentees to get many perspectives and point of views at each track.
Besides, the feedback of mentors have been collected during the event using the feedback form
shared from the mentoring-meet task force.
The mentees numbers and feedback:
The mentees had many experience levels and they were graduated and undergraduate. Besides, the number of mentees was around 110 mentees and the feedback was collected during the event using the feedback shared from the mentoring-meet task force previously. Moreover, the mentees feedback was positive and they requested other versions from this event and they requested to increase the number of attendees next time and the tracks.
